C&J Antich & Sons was founded in 1989 and is best known as a commission warper, weaver and mender, originally an essential backbone of the Yorkshire worsted trade. The business has since expanded to include an international suit operation, supplying retailers and the corporate sector, and a rapidly growing garment-making business.
The company turns out 60/70,000 metres of fabric per week, much of which is highly technical. The operation is entirely computerized with statistical process and quality control systems. The emphasis on computerization and information technology is to enhance the quality and performance of skilled operatives, and to equip the company with the tools to accommodate change well into the next century. Fully computerized jacquard 'name-edge' machines especially complement the first of three main market niches:
- Our retail outlet, situated above our factory, has 1500sq ft of the highest quality suits, shirts, ties and outerwear.
- Garments are made from our finest worsted cloth and are usually to be found in the most discerning gentlemen's outfitters.
- All our suits are at factory prices and start from as little as £60.
We specialise in group suitings for race days and weddings and we are happy visit your place of work to measure for multiple orders.
